You can exchange currency at banks, but there are several advantages to using Tokai.

[Currency exchange possible even on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays]

If Tokai is open, you can exchange currency after 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends and holidays.

[No upper limit on transaction amount]

"There is no daily limit on the amount of currency an individual may exchange. However, services are limited to the amount of cash available."

[Convenient access near train stations]

Most Tokai stores are located near train stations, reducing travel time and making it easy for busy customers.

Please note that old, damaged, or unreadable banknotes that cannot be processed by authentication machines cannot be exchanged.

<Points to note when exchanging foreign currency>

・If the exchange amount exceeds 100,000 yen in Japanese yen, please write your address, name, age, date of birth, occupation, purpose of use, and telephone number on the identification form.

・If the amount to be exchanged exceeds 200,000 yen in Japanese yen, we will ask you to fill out the above form and provide a copy of your ID. Please present your passport.

【土日祝でも両替可能】

トーカイでは営業中であれば、平日15時以降も、土日祝でも両替出来ます。

【金種が自由に選べる】

両替するところによってはUSドルを500ドル両替しようとすると100ドル札を5枚渡されて高額紙幣しか両替できない…なんてこともありますが、トーカイではお客様が紙幣の種類をお選びいただけます。（在庫状況によりお選びいただけないこともございます）

【駅チカ・アクセスが良好】

トーカイはほとんどの店舗が駅周辺に位置しています。

移動時間を短縮でき、忙しい方にもおすすめです。

※一部旧紙幣や傷んだ紙幣など鑑定機が通らない紙幣は両替ができません。

<外貨両替時の注意点>

・両替金額が日本円で10万円を超える場合は本人確認カードにお客様のご住所、お名前、ご年齢、生年月日、ご職業、使用目的、お電話番号をご記入いただきます。

・両替金額が日本円で20万円を超える場合は上記本人確認カードのご記入に加えて、身分証明書のコピーをいただきます。

トーカイでご利用いただける身分証明書は以下の通りです。

・運転免許証

・各種健康保険証（住所記載がされているもの）

・パスポート(2020年2月4日以降に申請されたものは『所持人記入欄』が無いため不可）

・写真付き住民基本台帳

・国民年金手帳

・身体障碍者手帳

・在留カード
